Public Administration Conference

2011 Public Administration Conference

November 3 and 4, 2011
UNC-Chapel Hill, School of Government

Knapp-Sanders Building

This year's conference planning committee has been hard at work to develop a fun, top notch conference.  Plans include:

A two day conference model:  The expanded conference will offer faculty and practitioner-led sessions and workshops that develop skills and knowledge to address current challenges in the public sector.

Expanded learning workshops:  We begin on Thursday, with three in-depth workshops in the areas of Sustainability, Management and Leadership and Decision Making.

Outstanding Deil S. Wright Lecture: Erskine B. Bowles, co-chair of the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform and UNC President Emeritus, will deliver this year's Deil S. Wright Lecture.

The Dean's Dinner:  At the 2011 Dean's dinner we will be honoring Gordon Whitaker, who has announced his retirement at the end of the 2011/2012 academic year!

Conference resumes on Friday, November 4th with additional learning opportunities.
